3i Logic Conducts “Technology in the Classroom” sessions at the Teachers’ Literature Festival

Children’s Literature Festival (CLF) is one of the most popular educational events in Pakistan. In fact, its popularity has led the organizers Oxford University Press (OUP) and Idara-e-Taleem-o-Agahi (ITA) to conduct several CLFs in a calendar year. The most recent CLF was held in Islamabad on 1st to 3rd May, 2014 which was attended by an estimated 30,000 students, teachers and parents. At the invitation of organizers, 3i Logic actively participated in the event to bring the “Education Technology (EdTech)” element to the event.

On first day of the event, called as Teachers’ Literature festival, 3i Logic conducted three hour long sessions titled “Technology in the Classroom” for teachers. These sessions, conducted by 3i Logic’s senior team members, discussed the key concepts of EdTech, how to select and use technology in teaching in the local context and also introduced free of cost and open source resources. All three sessions were fully packed and participants appreciated 3i Logic’s understanding of on-the-ground realities such as electricity shortages and lack of teachers’ training. Based on the overwhelming response of teachers, CLF organizers have asked 3i Logic to be a regular member of the CLF movement and to participate in future CLF events.
